I recently downloaded Apparat’s Duplex and Copy’s Hair guitar. Both are very good and you should look them up. Both are classified as electronic but they have entirely different sounds.
I am currently wrenching on an old Panasonic Tourist 3. It is a 3 speed with coaster brakes. It has been nothing but problems so far but I think I have it figured out. I ordered a rack for it and hope to use it for commuting.
I moved to a studio apartment. It’s a liberating experience. I can’t help but think that I will get bored without roommates…
Whats nice is that EVERYTHING HERE IS MINE MINE MINE! (including the mess)

I have been waiting for these shoes to come out for months. They are scheduled to be released early may. Let me know if you see them anywhere.
I went to the Kendal College of Art and Design’s Annual Student Exhibition yesterday. Some great work to be seen and food to be eaten. My favorite was Molly Borkowski’s pen and ink illustrations on the 6th floor. She didn’t have any contact information but I would like to know more. Pictured above was an installation in the stairwell with pictures of people giving high-fives.
Central Saint Martins graduate Seb Lester works in London as a type designer and typographic illustrator.
70 degrees and sunny in West Michigan means you get outside. Rode my bike around Reeds Lake then headed out to Lake Michigan and took the above picture of a group of nice people. It was so nice I even got a sunburn.
Said goodbye to Sarah Darnell and Geoff Holstad. They embarked on their cross country bike trip from Grand Rapids Michigan to Astoria Oregon. I wish them a safe and exciting ride. Follow them on their blog sosweaty.
I played Monopoly with Geoff and Sarah today. I was handicapped by joining late and the only property I could get was Baltic and Mediterranean. I put hotels on both and rolled the dice. Sarah Monopolized the board and won by a longshot.
The world’s largest art prize
ArtPrize is a radically open competition. Open to any artist in the world who can find space. Open to anybody in the city who wants to create a venue. Open to a vote from anyone who attends.
We admit… it’s an experiment. A fun experiment. Come and see.
Crazy!
The VisionAire projected multitouch (or more accurately, multiswoosh) hologram is an early, rough iteration of an extremely exciting concept: fully interactive holographic displays. Obscura Digital has adapted their proprietary multitouch software to the Musion Eyeliner hologram projection system.
I just finished the fifth season of the HBO TV series The Wire. It was a roller coaster of emotion but now its over. I can resume normal human behavior.
The Wire is an American television drama series set in Baltimore, Maryland, where it was also produced. Created, produced, and primarily written by author and former police reporter David Simon, the series was broadcast by the premium cable network HBO in the United States. Each season of The Wire focuses on a different facet of the city of Baltimore. They are, in order: the drug trade, the port, the city government and bureaucracy, the school system, and the print news media.
